A Farewell

I love this outdoor painted terra cotta Mexican folk art Nativity. Along with the baby Jesus, Mary, and Joseph, the scene includes an angel, shepherd, the Three Kings, a cow and a sheep. 

Keith made the wooden stable I assemble the Nativity under. The announcing angel goes to her place on top of the stable under a silver star I hang from the pergola. Every year, I decorate the scene with evergreen branches and white lights, turn the lights on and smile. That moment is when the season begins for me.

This coming weekend, when the Nativity is put away, Christmas will truly be over. :-(
